Hi! I am April Brown.
My private practice is completely online. I provide counseling for teens and women to help them reduce stress and anxiety, cope with pregnancy loss, or racial trauma. You deserve a life full of peace and happiness. I know life throws us many curve balls and unexpected difficulties, but you will get through it. Trust me, I have been there. Like you, I am human. We all go through stuff, and it freaking sucks!
Despite this, I want you to know I get it. That's why I provide you a safe space to talk about your pain. You and I work together to identify the problem and set goals for therapy. After therapy, you will feel more confident dealing with life's ups and downs.
I have seven years of counseling experience. My experiences include working in primary, secondary, and higher educational settings. None of this would be possible without my educational background. I attended one of the best Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the South. That's right! I am a proud HBCU graduate.
I earned both a master's and educational specialist degree in counseling from The Fort Valley State University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified School Counselor in Georgia. In addition, I'm a National Certified Counselor and a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor. I am a current member of the American Counseling Association, Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development, and the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, exercising, traveling, and spending time with loved ones.
“I have a lot of things to prove to myself. One is that I can live my life fearlessly.”
