What kind of therapist are you?

I am a licensed professional counselor. You can verify my license #LPC010747 at​.gov/verification/Search.aspx

Do you accept insurance?

No, I do not accept insurance. 

Can I seek reimbursement from my insurance provider?

Yes. Check with your insurance provider to learn more about your out-of-network benefits. I also give clients a monthly superbill upon their request.

Will I spend more for an out-of-network provider?

Yes. You are likely to pay more for an out-of-network provider than an in-network provider.

What forms of payment do you accept? 

I accept health savings account cards, flexible spending account cards, Zelle, and credit or debit cards.

How much do you charge for therapy?

My current rate for a 60-minute individual therapy session is $200. My current rate for a 60-minute group therapy session is $100. Prices quoted are per session. 

How many sessions of therapy do I need?

The number of individual sessions you need will depend on your specific needs. We discuss a plan for your treatment together. Group therapy is typically 6-8 sessions.

How often should I come to therapy?

I recommend that clients come to therapy at least once per week.

Where are online therapy sessions held?

All therapy sessions are held in SimplePractice, which is a HIPAA compliant platform. You will receive access when you start therapy.

Do you provide 24-hour care?

No. I do not offer 24-hour care. If you are experiencing a crisis, suicidal or homicidal, or seeing or hearing things that others don’t, please CALL 911 or the Georgia Crisis and Access Line at 1-800-715-4225.

How can I protect myself from surprise medical bills?

The Green Shelf, LLC is in compliance with the "No Surprises Act " so all clients are given a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) before they start therapy. The GFE gives you an idea of how much you could pay for therapy. All Good Faith Estimates are valid for 12 months. To learn more about the "No Surprise Act" visit the link below.
